Ingredients

For the Whipped Cream

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Whipped for topping
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar To sweeten the whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Enhances flavor

For the Hot Chocolate

  • 2 cups Milk Creamy base for hot chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder For chocolate flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness

Instructions

Directions

  • In a large bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and whip until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Gradually mix in 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the whipped cream. Continue mixing until fluffy.
  • In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk with 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder over medium heat. Whisk continuously until dissolved.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (or to taste) into your hot chocolate mixture until fully dissolved.
  • Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top generously with the prepared whipped cream.
  • Finish with chocolate shavings or marshmallows, and drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.

Notes

For best results, cool mixing bowl and beaters before whipping cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze portions for up to 2 months.
