Ingredients

Cookie Base

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

Baking Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy. Then add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and mix well.
  • Beat in 2 large eggs one at a time, then mix in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  • Whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls, placing them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the top of each cooled cookie.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the caramel-covered cookies.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden before enjoying.

Notes

For best results, make sure your butter is at room temperature and avoid overmixing the dough. Use a cookie scoop for uniform shapes.
