How to Make Thanksgiving Turkey Cranberry Sliders
In a large mixing bowl, stir together ground turkey, finely chopped onion, fresh sage, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat for juicy patties.
Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions, shaping them into small patties about 2 inches in diameter, making a small indentation in the center of each patty.
Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat, adding a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, place the patties on the cooking surface and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of your chosen cheese on each patty and cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese perfectly.
Slice the slider buns in half and lightly toast them until they’re golden brown and crispy.
Spread a generous spoonful of cranberry sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the turkey patty with melted cheese on top, then add extra toppings if desired.
Add the top half of the bun to each slider, securing with a toothpick if necessary. Serve warm.
When making sliders, ensure you mix the turkey ingredients gently to avoid tough patties. Preheat the skillet for best results.
