Ingredients

Syrup Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cranberry Juice 100% pure, unsweetened or low sugar
  • 1 cup Water Adjust for thickness
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar For sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Ginger Thinly sliced
  • 2 sticks Cinnamon For warmth
  • 2 pods Star Anise Exotic flavor
  • 4 cloves Whole Cloves Spiced note

For Serving

  • 4-5 ounces Fresh Orange Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 2-3 ounces Sparkling Water Unflavored or ginger-flavored
  • 1 handful Fresh Cranberries For garnish
  • 1 slices Oranges Thinly sliced or wedges
  • 1 sprigs Fresh Rosemary For aromatic garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Fine Granulated Sugar For rimming glasses
  • 1 wedge Lemon or Orange To moisten the rim

Instructions

Making Syrup

  • In a medium saucepan, mix 1 cup water and 1 cup granulated sugar over medium heat until dissolved.
  • Add the thinly sliced fresh ginger, cinnamon sticks, star anise pods, and whole cloves.
  • Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, then steep for 30-60 minutes.
  • Strain the syrup into a clean container and refrigerate.

Preparing Mocktail

  • Spread fine granulated sugar on a plate. Moisten each glass rim with a lemon or orange wedge, dip in sugar.
  • Rinse fresh cranberries and prepare thin orange slices or wedges.
  • In each glass, add 2-3 tablespoons of chilled spiced cranberry-ginger syrup.
  • Pour in 4-5 ounces of cranberry juice followed by 2-3 ounces of fresh orange juice.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes and top with 2-3 ounces of sparkling water.
  • Stir gently and garnish with fresh cranberries and an orange slice.
  • Serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed orange juice for the best flavor. Serve immediately to maintain fizz.
