  • 0.5 cup Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

  • 0.25 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 0.25 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 3 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 5 ounces Mini Marshmallows

Instructions

How to Make Sweet Potato Casserole

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pierce sweet potatoes with fork and bake for 45-75 minutes until tender. Let cool, then peel and mash.
  • Mix the mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, melted butter, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Combine topping ingredients in a bowl until crumbly: chopped pecans, melted butter, packed brown sugar, and all-purpose flour.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread sweet potato filling evenly, then sprinkle topping over it. Bake for 25-35 minutes until golden brown.
  • Top with mini marshmallows after 20-25 minutes of baking. Bake for another 5-10 minutes or until marshmallows are golden brown.
  • Cool on a wire rack for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow filling to set.

Notes

For the best flavor, use firm sweet potatoes and maintain a smooth consistency when mashing. Watch the topping closely while baking to avoid burning.
