Ingredients

For the Spaghetti

  • 8 oz Spaghetti classic base
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic minced
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter melted

  • 1/4 cup Fresh chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan or mozzarella cheese or nutritional yeast as a dairy-free option

  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread sliced in half
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil optional substitute for butter
  • 4 tbsp Vegan butter alternative optional
  • 1 tbsp Dried parsley optional substitute for fresh parsley

Instructions

How to Make Spaghetti Garlic Bread

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water to keep the dish moist.
  • While the spaghetti cooks, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  • Stir in the chopped parsley into the garlic butter. If using dried parsley, add it a minute earlier to help release its flavor.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the drained spaghetti with the garlic butter mixture. If it seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water for creaminess.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the loaf of French or Italian bread in half lengthwise. Spread the remaining garlic butter evenly on both halves and sprinkle with grated cheese if desired.
  • Place the garlic bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and golden brown.
  • Serve your delicious spaghetti alongside warm garlic bread. Enjoy every bite.
