  • 1/4 cup chia seeds helps to thicken the jam
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup can substitute with honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice brightens the flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) adds warm, aromatic touch

Instructions

How to Make Raspberry Chia Jam

  • Mash the raspberries in a medium-sized bowl until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Mix in the chia seeds, maple syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla extract into the mashed raspberries.
  • Stir the mixture vigorously for about 30 seconds to a minute. Let it sit undisturbed for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Check the consistency after resting. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Adjust the thickness if needed by stirring in more chia seeds or adding water/lemon juice.
  • Transfer the jam into an airtight container or jar, and store it in the refrigerator.

Notes

For a refreshing twist, add fresh mint leaves as a garnish. Store jam in the fridge for up to 1 to 2 weeks or freeze in portions for longer shelf life.
