Ingredients

For the Pastry

  • 2 sheets Puff pastry thawed for easy rolling
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter melted

For Sweetness

  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar adds sweetness
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt balances flavors

For the Filling (Optional)

  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips for a sweet filling
  • 1/2 cup Almond paste for a nutty twist

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a floured surface until smooth and slightly thinner.
  • Cut each sheet into triangles of about 4-5 inches at the base.
  • Add chocolate chips or almond paste on the wider end of each triangle, if desired.
  • Roll up each triangle from wide end towards the pointy tip and curve into crescent shapes.
  • Arrange rolled croissants on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffy.

Notes

Optional: Serve warm with a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top for extra sweetness.
