Instructions

How to Make Cucumber Caprese Salad

  • Wash cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick. Place the cucumber slices in a large mixing bowl or arrange them directly on a serving platter.
  • Drain fresh mozzarella balls well. If using a larger ball of mozzarella, gently tear it into irregular, bite-sized pieces. Add the mozzarella to the bowl with the cucumbers or arrange it artfully on the platter.
  • Pluck fresh basil leaves from the stems after washing and patting dry. Add the basil to the bowl with the cucumber and mozzarella or scatter it over the arranged platter.
  • Toss the cucumbers, mozzarella, and basil together gently. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar or glaze, then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Serve fresh and adjust seasonings if needed, inviting your loved ones to enjoy this vibrant dish.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding sliced ripe tomatoes. Serve immediately for best taste.
