Instructions

How to Make Browned Butter Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour the browned butter over the sugars and stir until well incorporated.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract into the sugar mixture until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix these dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the toasted pecans and chocolate chips into the dough.
  • Chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
