How to Make Beef Bacon Cheeseburgers with Caramelized Onions

  • Slice the onions thinly for consistent thickness.
  • Melt about 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Add the sliced onions to the pan, sprinkling with a pinch of salt.
  • Cook onions for 40-60 minutes until golden brown.
  • If onions stick, add a splash of water to deglaze.
  • Remove the caramelized onions and set aside.
  • Cook the beef bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  • Drain excess fat from the cooked beef bacon.
  • Shape ground beef into 4 patties, slightly wider than buns.
  • Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
  • Heat skillet over medium-high and add fat or oil.
  • Cook patties for 3-5 minutes per side.
