  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples diced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds

  • 1 tbsp milk mixed with the egg

How to Make Apple Pie Almond Croissants

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Combine diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and sliced almonds in a mixing bowl. Stir everything together until coated.
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut it into triangles about 4 inches wide.
  • Spoon the apple mixture onto the wide end of each triangle and fold the pastry around the filling.
  • Whisk the egg with milk for your wash. Brush this mixture over each croissant.
  • Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Optional: Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

Store croissants at room temperature for up to 2 days. Refrigerate for up to 5 days. Freeze unbaked croissants for up to 3 months and bake from frozen.
