For the Croissants
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples diced
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
For the Wash
- 1 tbsp milk mixed with the egg
How to Make Apple Pie Almond Croissants
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Combine diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and sliced almonds in a mixing bowl. Stir everything together until coated.
Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut it into triangles about 4 inches wide.
Spoon the apple mixture onto the wide end of each triangle and fold the pastry around the filling.
Whisk the egg with milk for your wash. Brush this mixture over each croissant.
Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
